Mt. Everest is primarily recognizable by its unique outline. If one would research the highest mountains in the world, one would stumble upon collages of pictures/illustrations/icons of the 6 or 7 highest mounts and could easily see the difference in the shape of each one, and how Mt. Everest stands out not for being the highest but for its outline shape that makes it quite unique.
